Dear SMC Neighbors,
The New 2025 Board of Directors would like to thank you for your support as we begin a new year. We believe we have a well thought out budget and funds to execute action for 2025
The Board Members and officers are:
Kathy Bogus - President
Chris Pellegrino - Vice President
Angie Hernandez - Treasurer
Some of the Priorities for 2025 include the following:
1. Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions- Complete voting on amendment ballots mailed originally in November 2024 on updating several policies. If you have not voted please Click Here for a Ballot.
Completed ballots can be placed in the SMC Mail boxes at the front entrances. there are also copies of Ballots in front of the mail boxes
We need 186 "Yes" votes by item to pass and become part of approved amendments. To date we are close to half of the votes. While we are not restricted by time, the sooner we can pass these amendments it will greatly benefit the community. We hope to do some door to door ballot delivery. if you are interested in participating please email sixmilecreekbod@gmail.com
2. Entrance Islands:
a. North Entrance Islands: Updates to the North entrance with new sod, plantings, repaired irrigation, new lighting and new signage is complete.
b. South Entrance Islands: The new boring for the County Reclaim water is complete. The contractor has made the connection to the county water. The next step is to run the lines to the pump and repair/replace the sprinkler heads. Then updated planting wll be completed. All this expense is covered under the special assessments. We hope to have this completed by spring
Crane Creek has agreed to take over updating and maintaining the 2nd island when irrigation is restored.
3. Trees along Murrell Road - SMC is now responsible for trimming trees along Murrell Road. This should also be completed by the Spring.
4. Day to Day Partnership with APM our property mgt. company. Understanding who is responsible for what and holding them accountable to deliver. Including:
a. Paying of monthly bills
b. Renewing or replacing contractors
c. SMC website updates
Thank you
Respectfully,
SMCHOA Board of Directors
